About sudoku

Sudoku is a logic puzzle invented in its modern form in 1979 by Howard Garns, an American architect, and popularised globally in the 2000s. The rules are simple: fill each row, column, and 3 by 3 box with the digits 1 through 9 without repeats. The difficulty comes from the strategies required to deduce values under those constraints.

Printing tips

Print at 100 percent scale. Draft print mode is fine because the grids only use black lines, no fills. If you plan to solve many puzzles, slip the sheet into a plastic sleeve and use a fine dry-erase marker.
